In the eye

I looked you in the eye and said it out loud .
I didnt hold the words back I didnt need to.
I wasn't  afraid it was easy it was the truth.
You didnt say it back you didnt need to.

I wasnt fishing for a me too.
I wasnt looking for your approval.
It was my choice to speak  those words.
Words I now know the meaning of.

I looked you in the eye and I said it.
I spoke to you from my heart.
Maybe a little rushed out of my mouth.
But you kept kissing me and it had to come out.
